P kbwminabt . 1. (1. ) This Act may be cited as The Statutory Short title. Salaries and Allowances Act of 1955.” (2.) This Act shall be deemed to have come into Commence- force on and from the first day of October, one thousand ment' nine hundred and fifty-four, and shall operate retrospectively accordingly. 2. This Act is divided into Parts, as follows:— Parts of Act. (2.) *“ The Land Acts, 1910 to 1953,” and this Part II. of this Act may be collectively cited as The Land Acts, 1910 to 1955.” Amendment 4-. Section twenty-one of *“ The Land Acts, 1910 Nofo1. G15e.o. Y. to 1953,” is amended— (i.) By repealing in paragraph (a) of subsection one the words “ two thousand seven hundred pounds per annum ” and by inserting, in lieu of those repealed words, the words “ three thousand and thirty-eight pounds per annum ” ; (ii.) By repealing in paragraph (6) of subsection one the words “two thousand one hundred and seventy-five pounds per annum ” and by inserting, in lieu of those repealed words, the words “ two thousand five hundred and thirteen pounds per annum”; and (iii.) By repealing in subsection two the words “ one thousand nine hundred and fifty-four ” and by inserting, in lieu of those repealed words, the words “ one thousand nine hundred and fifty-five ”. By repealing in subsection one the words “ two thousand six hundred and seventy-five pounds per annum ” and by inserting, in lieu of those repealed words, the words “ three thousand and thirteen pounds per annum ” ; and (ii.) By repealing in subsection two the words “ one thousand nine hundred and fifty-four ” and by inserting, in lieu of those repealed words, the words “ one thousand nine hundred and fifty-five ”. * 1 G. 5 No. 15 and amending Acts, t 38 V. This Part IV. of this Act shall be read as interpreta- one with *“ The Railways Acts, 1914 to 1954.” Part iv. (2.) *“ The Railways Acts, 1914 to 1954,” and this ^ective Part IV. of this Act may be collectively cited as The Railways Acts, 1914 to 1955.” 8. Section seven of *“ The Railways Acts, 1914 to Amendment 1954,” is amended— No u ° ' (i.) By repealing in subsection one the words “ three thousand four hundred pounds per annum ” and by inserting, in lieu of those repealed words, the words “ three thousand seven hundred and thirty-eight pounds per annum ” ; and (ii.) By repealing in subsection two the words “ one thousand nine hundred and fifty-four ” and by inserting, in lieu of those repealed words, the words “ one thousand nine hundred and fifty-five ”.
