2 Statutory Instruments Amendment (No. 2) No. 334, 1998 ˙ Short title 1. This regulation may be cited as the Statutory Instruments Amendment Regulation (No. 2) 1998 . ˙ Regulation amended 2. This regulation amends the Statutory Instruments Regulation 1992 . ˙ Insertion of new s 8 3. After section 7— insert— ˙ ‘ Exemption from expiry—Continuing Legal Education Rule ‘ 8.(1 ) Under section 56(1) of the Act, the rule is exempt from expiry under part 7 of the Act for the period ending at midnight on 15 December 1999. ‘ (2) In subsection (1)— “rule” means the rule in the schedule of the order in council made under the Queensland Law Society Act 1952 and gazetted on 17 December 1988 at pages 2136–43.’.
