s1 2 s3 Statutory Instruments Amendment (No. 1) No. 123, 2000 ˙ Short title 1. This regulation may be cited as the Statutory Instruments Amendment Regulation (No. 1) 2000 . ˙ Regulation amended 2. This regulation amends the Statutory Instruments Regulation 1992 . ˙ Insertion of new s 9 3. After section 8— insert— ˙ ‘Exemptions to 30 June 2001—Act, s 56A(2), subject to review ‘9.(1) Subordinate legislation mentioned in schedule 9, if not repealed on or before midnight on 30 June 2000, is exempt from expiry under part 7 of the Act for the period ending at midnight on 30 June 2001 (the “exemption period” ). (2) The exemption of subordinate legislation under subsection (1) is because the Act or provision under which or in relation to which the subordinate legislation, or part of the subordinate legislation, is made or preserved is subject to review. (3) The exemption for an instrument of subordinate legislation ends if the instrument stops having effect during the exemption period.’. Replacement of sch 6 (Exemptions from expiry to 30 June 2000—legislation under Act subject to review) 4. Schedule 6— omit, insert— 1 1 The sole purpose of replacing schedule 6 is to facilitate the insertion of additional footnotes.
