Statutory Holidays Act 2000
An Act to specify statutory holidays that are to be public holidays, to make certain days a holiday for certain persons and to repeal the Bank Holidays Act 1919

Be it enacted by His Excellency the Governor of Tasmania, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and House of Assembly, in Parliament assembled, as follows:
Section 5

1. | Second Monday in February | Royal Hobart Regatta | All that part of Tasmania south of and including Oatlands and Swansea excluding Bronte Park, Catagunya, Strathgordon, Tarraleah, Wayatinah and the West Coast |
3. | First Tuesday in March | King Island Show | Municipal area of King Island |
4. | Friday preceding first Saturday in October | Burnie Show | Municipal areas of Burnie, Waratah-Wynyard and West Coast |
5. | Thursday preceding second Saturday in October | Royal Launceston Show | Municipal areas of Break O’Day, Dorset, George Town, Launceston, Meander Valley, Northern Midlands and West Tamar |
6. | Friday preceding third Saturday in October | Flinders Island Show | Municipal area of Flinders |
7. | Thursday preceding fourth Saturday in October | Royal Hobart Show | All that part of Tasmania south of and including Oatlands and Swansea, also Bronte Park, Strathgordon, Tarraleah and Wayatinah, excluding the West Coast |
8. | First Monday in November | Recreation Day | All parts of Tasmania in which a statutory holiday is not observed for the Royal Hobart Regatta |
9. | Friday nearest last day in November, but not later than first day in December | Devonport Show | Municipal areas of Devonport, Kentish and Latrobe |
10. | Friday following the first Thursday in May | Agfest | Municipal Area of Circular Head |

1. | Last Wednesday in February | Launceston Cup | Municipal areas of Break O’Day, Dorset, George Town, Glamorgan-Spring Bay (north of and including Cranbrook), Launceston excluding Launceston City centre and suburbs specified in item 2 of Part 2, Meander Valley excluding suburbs specified in item 2 of Part 2, Northern Midlands, Southern Midlands north of but not including Oatlands, West Tamar excluding townships specified in item 2 of Part 2 . |
