DECLARATIONS.
No. 5 of 1922.
An
Act to amend theStatutory Declaration Act 1911.
[Assented
to 30th August, 1922.]
BE it enacted by the King’s Most Excellent
Majesty, the Senate, and the House of Representatives of the Commonwealth of Australia,
as follows:—
Short
title and citation.
1.—(1.) This
Act may be cited as the Statutory
Declarations Act 1922.
(2.) The Statutory
Declarations Act 1911, as amended by this Act, may be cited as the Statutory Declarations Act 1911-1922.
Statutory
declaration may be made before notary public.
2.Section
five of the Statutory Declarations Act 1911
is amended by adding at the end thereof the following words:—
“, or (d) a Notary Public”.
Extension
of Act to territories.
3. After section eight of the Statutory
Declarations Act 1911 the following section is inserted:—
“9. This Act shall extend to such territories
under the authority of the Commonwealth (including any territory held under a
Mandate) as the Governor-General, by Proclamation, declares.”.
