An Act to amend the Statutory and Other Offices Remuneration Act, 1975, consequent upon the enactment of the Superannuation (Amendment) Act, 1978. [Assented to, 22nd December, 1978.1

Statutory and Other Offices Remuneration (^Superannuation) Amendment.

BE it enacted by the Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows :—

1.          This Act may be cited as the “Statutory and Other Offices Short title.

Remuneration (Superannuation) Amendment Act, 1978”.

2.      (1) This section and section 1 shall commence on the date Commence-

of assent to this Act.

(2) Except as provided by subsection (1), this Act shall commence on the day appointed and notified under section 2 (4) of the Superannuation (Amendment) Act, 1978.

3.          The Statutory and Other Offiees Remuneration Act, 1975, Amendment

is amended by omitting from Part 1 of Schedule 2 the words

“Member of the State Superannuation Board (being a full-time schedule 2.

Full-time member of the State Superannuation Board to whom section 70 (2) (a) (ii) of the Superannuation Act, 1916, applies.

Until provision is otherwise made under the Statutory and Other Offices Remuneration Act, 1 9 7 5 , a reference in a determina­ tion in force under that Act to the member of the State Superannuation Board (being a full-time member, as referred to in section 6 9 a of the Superannuation Act, 1 9 1 6 ) , other than the president shall be construed as a reference to the full-time member of the State Superannuation Board to whom section 70 (2) (a) (ii) of the Superannuation Act, 1 9 1 6 , applies.
