Act No. 34, 1986

An Act to amend the Statutory and Other Offices Remuneration Act 1975 consequent upon the enactment of the Prices Regulation (Amendment) Act 1986. [Assented to 6 May 1986.]

Statutory and Other Offices Remuneration (Prices Commission) Amendment

1986

BE it enacted by the Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

Short title

1.         This Act may be cited as the “Statutory and Other Offices

Remuneration (Prices Commission) Amendment Act 1986”.

Commencement

2.         (1) Sections 1 and 2 shall commence on the date of assent to this

Act.

(2) Except as provided by subsection (1), this Act shall commence on the

day on which the Prices Regulation (Amendment) Act 1986 commences.

Amendment of Act No. 4, 1976

3. The Statutory and Other Offices Remuneration Act 1975 is amended

by omitting from Part 1 of Schedule 2 the words “Chairman of the Prices

Commission.” and by inserting instead the following words:

Chairperson of the Prices Commission (being a full-time

commissioner).

Savings provision

4.         A determination under the Statutory and Other Offices Remuneration

Act 1975 of the remuneration payable to the Chairman of the Prices Commission shall, on the commencement of this Act, be deemed to be a determination of the remuneration payable to the Chairperson of the Prices Commission (being a full-time commissioner) until a determination is made under that Act.
