An Act to amend Schedule 2 to the Statutory and Other Offices Remuneration Act, 1975, consequent on and in connection with the enactment of the Maritime Services (Amendment) Act, 1984. [Assented to, 28th June, 1984.]

Statutory and Other Offices Reiniineration (Maritime Services Board) Amendment.

BE it enacted by the Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

Short title.

1.           This Act may be cited as the “Statutory and Other Offices Remunera­

tion (Maritime Services Board) Amendment Act, 1984’’.

Commencement.

(1) Except as provided by .subsection (2), this Act shall commence on the date of assent to this Act.

(2) Section 3 (2) shall commence on the day appointed and notified under section 2 (2) of the Maritime Services (Amendment) Act, 1984.

Amendment of Act No. 4, 1976.

3. (1) The Statutory and Other Offices Remuneration Act, 1975, is amended by inserting in Part 1 of Schedule 2 before the words “Commissioner of the Soil Conservation Service.” the following words;—

General Manager of The Maritime Services Board of New South Wales.

Deputy General Manager of The Maritime Services Board of New South

Wales.

(2) The Statutory and Other Offices Remuneration Act, 1975, is further amended by omitting from Part 1 of Schedule 2 the following words:—

President of The Maritime Services Board of New South Wales.

Vice-President of The Maritime Services Board of New South Wales.

Commissioner of The Maritime Services Board of New South Wales, who, by section 3 (4) (a) of the Maritime Services Act, 1935, is required to devote the whole of his time to the duties of his office, other than tlie President and Vice-President.
