An Act to amend the Statutory and Other Offices Remuneration Act, 1975, consequent on and in connection with the enactment of the Legal Services Commission (Amendment) Act, 1985. [Assented to. 4th June, 1985.J

Statutory and Other Offices Remuneration (Legal Services Commission) Amendment, 1985

BE it enacted by the Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

Short title.

1. This Act may be cited as the “Statutory and Other Offices

Remuneration (Legal Services Commission) Amendment Act, 1985” .

Commencement.

2.     (1) Except as provided by subsection (2), this Act shall commence on

the date of assent to this Act.

(2) Section 3 (2) shall commence on the day appointed and notified under

section 2 (2) of the Legal Services Commission (Amendment) Act, 1985.

Amendment of Act No. 4, 1976.

3.         (1) The Statutory and Other Offices Remuneration Act, 1975, is

amended by inserting in Part 1 of Schedule 2 before the words “General Manager of the Energy Authority of New South Wales.” the following words:—

Director of the Legal Aid Commission of New South Wales.

(2) The Statutory and Other Offices Remuneration Act, 1975, is further

amended by omitting from Part 1 of Schedule 2 the following words:—

Deputy Chairman of the Legal Services Commission of New South

Wales.

Public Solicitor.

Deputy Public Solicitor.

Referrals Director of the Legal Services Commission of New South

Wales.
