An Act to amend the Statutory and Other Offices Remuneration Act, 1975, to provide for the determination of the remunera­ tion of statutory officers of the Legal Services Commission of New South Wales. (Assented to, 16th May, 1979.1

BE it enacted by the Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows :—

Short title,

1.

This Act may be cited as the “Statutory and Other Offices

Remuneration (Legal Services Commission) Amendment Act,

1979”.

Commence-

2.

(1) Except as provided by subsections (2) and (3), this Act shall commence on the date of assent to this Act.

(2) Section 3 shall commence on the day appointed and notified under section 2 (2) of the Legal Services Commission Act, 1979.

(3) Section 4 shall commence on the day appointed and notified under section 2 (3) of the Legal Services Commission Act, 1979.

(a) by inserting in Part 1 of Sehedule 2 after the words

of New South Wales.

a determination made under the Statutory and Other OfiBces Remuneration Act, 1975, before the day on which section 4 commences in relation to an office referred to in paragraph (b) shall not have effect until the person who holds that office vacates the office held by him and referred to in paragraph (a).
