An
Act to amend various Acts consequent on the enactment of the
This Act may be cited as the
Statutes Amendment (Public Sector Consequential Amendments) Act 2009 .
(1) This Act will come into operation on a day to be fixed by proclamation.
(2) Section 7(5) of the
Acts Interpretation Act 1915 does not apply to this Act.
(1) In this Act, a provision under a heading referring to the amendment of a specified Act amends the Act so specified.
(2) If an Act sought to be amended by a provision of this Act is, before the commencement of the provision, amended in a manner that renders the amendment ineffective, that amendment will be taken to have been struck out of this Act.
4—Amendment of section 7—Aboriginal Heritage Committee Section 7—after subsection (5) insert:
(6) A member of the Committee will not be taken to have a direct or indirect interest in a matter for the purposes of the
Public Sector (Honesty and Accountability) Act 1995 by reason only of the fact that the member has an interest in a matter that is shared in common with Aboriginal persons generally, or a substantial section of Aboriginal persons.
