The Parliament of Australia enacts:
This Act may be cited as the
Statute Law Revision Act 2006 .
(1) Each provision of this Act specified in column 1 of the table commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with column 2 of the table. Any other statement in column 2 has effect according to its terms.

The amendment made by item 8 of this Schedule does not affect the validity of any requirements that:
(a) were prescribed for the purposes of paragraph (a)(i) (first‑occurring) of the definition of
industry code in section 116AB of theCopyright Act 1968 ; and(b) were in force immediately before the commencement of item 8 of this Schedule.
