Statute Law (Miscellaneous New South Wales

Provisions) Act (No 2) 1999 No

85—Proclamation

GORDON SAMUELS, Governor I, the Honourable Gordon Samuels AC, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 of the Statute Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act (No 2) 1999, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 1 February 2000 as the day on which the provisions of Schedule 1.11 [1]–[12], [19] and [20] to that Act commence.

Signed and sealed at Sydney, this 27th day of January 2000.

By His Excellency’s Command,

KIM YEADON, M.P.,

Minister for Energy

GOD SAVE THE QUEEN!

Explanatory note

The object of this proclamation is to commence the uncommenced provisions of the Statute Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1999 that amend the Electricity Supply Act 1995. Those amendments relate to arrangements under which the price for the provision of electricity network services by a licensed electricity distributor will be determined by the Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal under the National Electricity Code rather than under the Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal Act 1992 as is currently the case.
