I, Rear Admiral PETER ROSS SINCLAIR, A.C., Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of Schedule 1 to the Statute Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act (No. 2) 1993, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 8 July 1994 as the day on which the amendments to the Tourism Commission Act 1984 set out in that Schedule commence.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Proclamation is to commence the amendments to the Tourism Commission Act 1984 made by the Statute Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act (No. 2) 1993. Those amendments were themselves amended by the Statute Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1994.

The amendments (in their final form) change the name of the NSW Tourism
Commission to “Tourism New South Wales” and make consequential amendments.
