I, Rear Admiral PETER ROSS SINCLAIR, A.C., Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of Schedule 1 to the Statute Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act (No. 2) 1993, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 16 May 1994 as the day on which the amendments to the Justices Act 1902 set out in that Schedule commence.

EXPLANATORY NOTE
The object of this Proclamation is to commence the amendments to the Justices Act 1902 in the Statute Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act (No. 2) 1993. The amendments:
| (a) | enablepenaltynoticesissuedunder section 24oftheCentennial Park and Moore Park Trust Act 1983 to be brought within the Self-Enforcing Infringement Notice Scheme; and |
| (b) | allow the useofprescribed short descriptions ofindictable offences that may be dealt with summarily in informations, complaints, summonses, warrants, notices, orders and other documents relating to such offences. |
