I, Wear Admiral PETER ROSS SINCLAIR, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of Schedule 1 to the Statute Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act (No. 2) 1992, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 1 January 1993 as the day on which the following amendments set out in that Schedule commence:

• item (2) of the amendments to the District Court Act 1973;

item (4) of the amendments to the Local Courts (Civil Claims) Act 1970;

• the amendment to the Supreme Court Act 1970.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Proclamation is to commence certain amendments to section

99 of the District Court Act 1973, section 49 of the Local Courts (Civil Claims) Act 1970 and section 99 of the Supreme Court Act 1970 contained in the Statute Law

(Miscellaneous Provisions) Act (No. 2) 1992.

The effect of the amendments is to replace in those Acts the formula to be used.

in determining what amount may be deducted from the wage or salary of a
judgment debtor to enforce payment of a judgment debt by a garnishee order.
