I, Rear Admiral PETER ROSS SINCLAIR, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of Schedule 1 to the Statute Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act (No. 2) 1991, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 1 July 1992 as the day on which item (6) of the amendments to the Workers Compensation Act 1987 set out in that Schedule commences.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Proclamation is to commence on 1 July 1992 the remaining

uncommenced provision relating to the Workers Compensation Act 1987 contained

in Schedule 1 to the Statute Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act (No. 2) 1991.

That provision amends section 172 of the Act and provides for a new method of

calculating interest on unpaid insurance premiums.

1992—No. 195

The commencement dates for the other amendments to the Workers

Compensation Act 1987 contained in Schedule 1 are as follows:

• items (3) and (4) (b) are taken to have commenced on 1 February 1990;
• item (1) is taken to have commenced on 1 July 1990;
• items (4) (a) and (10) commenced on assent (17 December 1991);
• items (2), (5) and (7)–(9) commenced on 1 February 1992.
