I, Rear Admiral PETER ROSS SINCLAIR, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of Schedule 1 to the Statute Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act (No. 2) 1991, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 1 February 1992 as the day on which the amendments to the Pipelines Act 1967 set out in that

Schedule commence.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Proclamation is to commence the amendments to the Pipelines

Act 1967 contained in the Statute Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act (No. 2)
1991.

These amendments:

(a) modify the application procedures for permits and licences; and

1992—No. 15

(b) facilitate the granting of certificates of availability of land for compulsory

acquisition; and

(c) provide for the prescription by regulation of the maximum amount payable
