I, Rear Admiral PETER ROSS SINCLAIR, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of Schedule 1 to the Statute Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act (No. 2) 1991, do, by this by Proclamation, appoint 1 June 1992 as the day the amendments to the Construction Safety Act 1912 set out in that Schedule commence.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The Proclamation commences the amendments to the Construction Safety Act 1912 in the Statute Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act (No. 2) 1991. The amendments bring personnel and material hoists within the definition of “lift” for the purposes of the Act and will provide for stricter safety requirements to apply to these hoists.
