I, Rear Admiral PETER ROSS SINCLAIR, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of Schedule 1 to the Statute Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act (No. 2) 1991, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 7 May 1992 as the day on which the amendments to the Boxing and Wrestling Control Act 1986 set out in that Schedule commence.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Proclamation is to commence the amendments to the Boxing and Wrestling Control Act 1986 contained in the Statute Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act (No. 2) 1991. Those amendments provide for certain functions which are currently exercised by the Commissioner of Police and police officers at boxing contests to be exercised instead by members of the Boxing Authority of New South Wales or by boxing inspectors appointed by the Authority.
