I, Rear Admiral PETER ROSS SINCLAIR, A.C., Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 (3) of the Statute Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act (No. 2) 1988, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 18th June, 1993, as the day on which Schedule 5 to that Act commences.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Proclamation is to commence the amendments to the Electricity Act 1945 contained in the Statute Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act (No. 2) 1988. The amendments relate to the powers of authorised persons to prohibit the sale of a type of electrical article and remove a provision which is superfluous as a result of the Electricity Development (Amendment) Act 1987.
