I, Rear Admiral PETER ROSS SINCLAIR, A.C., Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of Schedule 1 to the Statute Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1994, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 24 February 1995 as the day on which the amendments to the Public Health Act 1991 set out in that Schedule commence.

EXPLANATORY NOTE
The object of this Proclamation is to commence the amendments to the Public Health Act 1991. They expand the regulation-making power in that Act so that regulations may be made generally as to cemeteries and crematories and may require cemeteries to keep records, may permit health inspectors to inspect cemeteries and crematories and may require mortuaries, cemeteries and crematories to allow inspectors and the public to have access to their records.
