NEW SOUTH WALES

[Published in Gazette No. 5 of 15 January 1993]

ALAN GLEESON
By deputation from His Excellency the Governor.

I, Rear Admiral PETER ROSS SINCLAIR, A.C., Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in

pursuance of Schedule 1 to the Statute Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1992, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 15 January 1993 as the day on which the amendments to the Trustee Act 1925 set out in that Schedule commence.

Signed and sealed at Sydney, this 6th day of January, 1993.

By His Excellency’s Command,

JOHN P. HANNAFORD

Attorney General.

GOD SAVE THE QUEEN!

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Proclamation is to commence the amendments to the Trustee

Act 1925 contained in the Statute Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1992. The amendments enable the making of a rule of the Supreme Court prescribing the manner of giving, and form of, the notice to be given under section 60 of the
Trustee Act 1925 (relating to the intention of a trustee to distribute property to
entitled persons). The amendments also omit provisions relating to the manner of
publication of the notice and make a consequential amendment.
