(L.S.) P. R. SINCLAIR, Governor.

I, Rear Admiral PETER ROSS SINCLAIR, Governor of the State of New

South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of Schedule 1 to the Statute Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1992, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 1 September 1992 as the day on which the amendments to the Fines and Forfeited Recognizances Act 1954 set out in that Schedule commence.

Signed and Sealed at Sydney, this 29th day of July, 1992.

By His Excellency’s Command,

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Proclamation is to commence the amendments to the Fines and Forfeited Recognizances Act 1954 contained in the Statute Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1992. The amendments enable a form of notice under the 1954 Act to be approved by the Minister instead of being prescribed by regulations, update
obsolete references in that Act and remove an obsolete provision of that Act.
