I, Rear Admiral PETER ROSS SINCLAIR, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of Schedule 1 to the Statute Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1992, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 1st August, 1992 as the day on which the amendments to the Cattle Compensation Act 1951 set out in that Schedule commence.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Proclamation is to commence the amendments to the Cattle

Compensation Act 1951 contained in the Statute Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1992. The amendments relate to the basis on which the market value of a carcass is calculated, the approval of the form of applications for compensation and to other matters. The Cattle Compensation Regulations also are repealed on the commencement of the amendments.
