I, Rear Admiral PETER ROSS SINCLAIR, Governor of the State of New
South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of Schedule 1 to the Statute Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1992,

do, by this my Proclmation, appoint 31 July 1992 as the day on which the amendments to the Soil Conservation Act 1938 set out in that Schedule commence.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Proclamation is to commence the amendments to the Soil Conservation Act 1938 contained in the Statute Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1992. The amendments provide for certain forms and notices to be approved by the Minister rather than be prescribed by the regulations, enable the Commissioner of Soil Conservation Service to delegate his or her functions in relation to protected land specifically to officers of the Department of Water Resources and replace superseded provisions relating to the compulsory acquisition of land.
