I, Rear Admiral PETER ROSS SINCLAIR, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of Schedule 1 to the Statute Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1992, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 1 July 1992 as the day on which item (1) of the amendments to the Traffic Act 1909 set out in that Schedule commences.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Proclamation is to commence an amendment to the Traffic Act

1909 which provides for the Roads and Traffic Authority to take over the functions
relating to schemes to assist children to cross public streets with safety that the
Commissioner of Police presently has under that Act.
