I, Rear Admiral PETER ROSS SINCLAIR, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of Schedule 1 to the Statute Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1992, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 12 June 1992 as the day on which item (2) of the amendments to the Co-operation Act 1923 set out in that Schedule commences.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Proclamation is to commence one of the amendments to the Co-operation Act 1923 contained in Schedule 1 to the Statute Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1992. That amendment widens the provisions in the Co-operation Act 1923 relating to the interstate amalgamation of co-operative societies so that the provisions will cover also the situation where the society resulting from an interstate amalgamation is registered outside New South Wales.
