I, Rear Admiral PETER ROSS SINCLAIR, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of Schedule 1 to the Statute Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1991,

do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 1 September 1991 as the day on
which the amendments to the Plant Diseases Act 1924 set out in that

Schedule commence.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Proclamation is to commence amendments made to the Plant Diseases Act 1924 by the Statute Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1981. Those amendments relate to:

the approval of forms etc. by the Chief, Division of Plant Industries,
Department of Agriculture
the making of orders setting standards for the grading, packaging and

labelling of fruit, vegetables and other plants

the repeal of certain provisions of the Plant Diseases Regulations.
