I, Rear Admiral PETER ROSS SINCLAIR, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of Schedule 1 to the Statute Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1991, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 27 May 1991 as the day on which the amendments to the Crimes Act 1900 set out in that Schedule commence.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Proclamation is to commence the amendments to the Crimes Act 1900 contained in Schedule 1 to the Statute Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1991. Those amendments clarify certain matters in relation to the giving of child victim’s evidence by means of closed-circuit television facilities.
