I, Rear Admiral PETER ROSS SINCLAIR, Governor of the State of New

Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of Schedule 1 to the Statute Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1990, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 26 July 1991 as the day on which
the amendments to the Wills, Probate and Administration Act 1898 set

out in that Schedule commence.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Proclamation is to commence the amendments to the Wills, Probate and Administration Act 1898 contained in Schedule 1 to the Statute Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1990 which relate to the liability of a testator under a promise made to a former spouse.
