Statute Law ( Miscellaneous Provisions ) Act 1989, No. 103 1383 BE IT ENACTED by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:- 1. Short title. This Act may be cited as the Statute Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1989. 2. Commencement . (1) Subject to this section, this Act shall commence on the day it is assented to for and on behalf of Her Majesty. (2) The amendment of section 52A (2) of the Builders' Registrationand Home-owners' Protection Act 1979-1987 made by this Act shall be deemed to have commenced on 1 December 1987. (3) The amendment of Schedule I of the Corrective Services(Consequential Amendments) Act 1988 made by this Act shall be deemed to have commenced immediately before the commencement of section 3 of the Corrective Services (Consequential Amendments) Act 1988. (4) The amendment of the Fisheries Act Amendment Act 1982 made by this Act shall be deemed to have commenced immediately before the commencement of section 6 (e) of the Fisheries Act AmendmentAct 1982. (5) The amendment of the Industrial Development Act AmendmentAct 1987 made by this Act shall be deemed to have commenced immediately before the commencement of the Industrial DevelopmentAct Amendment Act 1987. (6) The amendment of the Public ServiceManagement andEmployment Act 1988 made by this Act shall be deemed to have commenced immediately before the commencement of section 44 of the Public Service Management and Employment Act 1988. (7) The amendment of the Queensland Government IndustrialGazette Act Amendment Act 1987 made by this Act shall be deemed to have commenced on 1 December 1987. (8) The amendment of the Regulation of Sugar Cane Prices Actand Another Act Amendment Act 1989 made by this Act shall be deemed to have commenced on 5 May 1989. (9) The amendment of the Rental Bond Act 1989 made by this Act shall be deemed to have commenced on the commencement date of section 58 (2) of the Rental Bond Act 1989. 3. Amendment of Acts. A provision of an Act specified in the first column of the Schedule is amended as specified in the second column of that Schedule opposite the reference to that provision and the Act, as so amended, may be cited as specified in the third column of that Schedule in relation to that Act.
