States Grants (Primary and Secondary Education Assistance) Regulations 2(Amendment)

I, The Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, make the following Regulations under the States Grants (Primary and Secondary Education Assistance) Act 1992.

1.   Amendment

1.1   The States Grants (Primary and Secondary Education Assistance) Regulations are amended as set out in these Regulations.

[NOTE: These Regulations commence on gazettal: see Acts Interpretation Act 1901, s. 48.]

2.   Regulation 3A (Cost supplementation—recurrent grants in 1994, 1995 and 1996 program years)

2.1   Omit the regulation, substitute:

 “3A.For the purposes of paragraph 106 (1) (b) of the Act, the number to be used for the variation of amounts of recurrent grants specified in the Schedules is:

  • (a)

    in relation to the 1994 program year—1.051; and

  • (b)

    in relation to the 1995 and 1996 program years—1.02.”.

3.   Regulation 4 (Cost supplementation—capital grants)

3.1   Omit the regulation, substitute:

“4.

(1)For the purposes of paragraph 106 (1) (a) of the Act, the number to be used for the variation of amounts of capital grants specified in the Schedules is:

  • (a)

    in relation to the 1994 program year—1.013; and

  • (b)

    in relation to the 1995 program year—1.022.”.
