I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia,
acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, make the following
Regulations under the States Grants (Coal Mining Industry Long Service
Leave) Act 1949.

Citation
1. These Regulations may be cited as the States
Grants (Coal Mining Industry Long Service Leave) Regulations.

Interpretation
2. In these
Regulations, unless the contrary intention appears:
“the Act” means the States
Grants (Coal Mining Industry Long Service Leave) Act 1949.
Reimbursement of Commonwealth administrative expenses
3. (1) For
the purposes of section 7 of the Act, the Minister may, in respect of:
(a)a financial year beginning on or after 1 July
1991; or
(b)a part of a year referred to in paragraph (a);
determine in writing an amount that represents the expenses
incurred by the Commonwealth in administering the Act in that year or part of a
year.
(2) For the purposes of
section 7 of the Act, an amount referred to in subregulation (1) is payable as
soon as practicable after the amount is determined.
Notice of determination to be published in Gazette
4. As soon as practicable after a determination
is made, notice of the determination must be published in the Gazette.
Repeal
5. Statutory Rules 1991
No. 163 are repealed.
