Act to amend section 4 of the States
Grants (Aboriginal Advancement) Act 1968.

BE it
enacted by the Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty, the Senate, and the House of
Representatives of the Commonwealth of Australia, as follows:—
Short
title and citation.
1.—(1.) This Act may be cited as the States Grants (Aboriginal Advancement) Act (No. 2) 1969.
(2.) The States Grants (Aboriginal Advancement) Act 1968,
as amended by this Act, may be cited as the States
Grants (Aboriginal Advancement) Act 1968–1969.
Commencement.
2. This Act shall come into operation on the day on which it receives
the Royal Assent.
Additional
grant of financial assistance to Queensland.
3Section
4 of the States Grants (Aboriginal Advancement) Act 1968 is amended by inserting after
sub-section (1.) the following sub-section:—
“(1a.) Notwithstanding the provisions of the last
preceding sub-section, any amount payable to the State of Queensland under that
sub-section may, if the Minister so determines, be paid after the expiration of
the year referred to in that sub-section.”.
