The Parliament of Victoria enacts as follows:

1. Purposes

The purposes of this Act are—

(a)	to transfer unallocated capital held in certain funds to the general funds of State Trustees; and
(b)	to make amendments of a statute law revision nature.

2. Commencement

This Act comes into operation on the day on which it receives the Royal Assent.

3. New section 25A inserted

After section 25 of the State Trustees (State	No. 45/1994. Reprint No. 1
Owned Company) Act 1994 insert—	as at 29 January
"25A. Transfer of unallocated capital	1998. Further amended by

(1) The sum of $3 800 000 in Common Fund	Nos 15/1998
No. 1 (within the meaning of section 16)	and 52/1998.
section 3 of the State Trustees (State
immediately before the commencement of becomes, on that commencement, part of the funds of State Trustees available for its general purposes.

(2) The sum of $2 300 000 held by State

Trustees immediately before the commencement of section 3 of the State Trustee (State Owned Company) (Amendment) Act 1999 in a common fund for the purposes for which Common Fund No. 2 (within the meaning of section 42 of the State Trust Corporation of Victoria Act 1987) was established, or for similar purposes, becomes, on that commencement, part of the funds of State Trustees available for its general purposes.".

4. Repeal

Parts 6, 7 and 8 of the State Trustees (State that Act are repealed.
