AN ACT to amend the State Transport
Co-ordination Act, 1933-1948.
[Assented to 18th January, 1954.]
BE it enacted, by the Queen's Most ExcellentMajesty, by and with the advice and consent of of the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

is referred to as the principal Act.
(3) The principal Act as amended by this Act may be cited as the State Transport Co-ordination Act, 1933-1953.

2. Section twenty-five of the principal Act is fLaInded.

| (a) | by adding before the words, "The Board" in the eleventh last line the figure "3" in brackets thus—(3); and |
(b) by adding the following subsection:
(4) The Board may, in respect of any route for which it has granted a license for an omnibus
| (a) | appoint stopping places at which passengers may be picked up or set down; and |
| (b) | direct that passengers shall not be picked up or set down at other than a stopping place, or stop- ping places so appointed, on the route or a section of the route. |
3. Section twenty-six of the principal Act is amended.

| (a) | by deleting the figure "1" in brackets thus— (1) in line one; |
| (b) | by deleting the word, "and" in line eleven; and |
| (c) | by adding after the word, "with" being the last word in paragraph (d) the word, "; and" and the following paragraph: |
(e) that a direction of the Board regulat- ing the use of places for the picking up and setting down of passengers is complied with.
4. The principal Act is amended by adding after 2a m.

(2) The provisions of this Part with the exception of those mentioned in subsection (3) of this section apply in respect of licenses granted by the Board under this section and in respect of applications for those licenses.
(3) The provisions of sections thirty-seven, thirty-eight and forty of this Act do not apply in respect of licenses granted by the Board under this section.

42. The Board may grant a license for a commercial goods vehicle

| (b) | temporarily for a particular purpose of limited duration. |
