2 State Transport Amendment (No. 1) No. 269, 1993 ˙ Short title 1. This regulation may be cited as the State Transport Amendment Regulation (No. 1) 1993 . ˙ Amended regulation 2. The State Transport Regulation 1987 is amended as set out in this regulation. ˙ Amendment of s.83 (Condition of vehicles under permits) 3. Section 83(1)— omit ‘ A ’, insert ‘ A permittee must ensure that a ’. ˙ Amendment of s.84 (Smoking) 4. Section 84(2)— omit . ˙ Amendment of s.85 (Authorised officers may issue notices and orders) 5. After section 85(3)— insert— ‘(4) A permittee to whom a direction, notice or order is given under this section must comply with the direction, notice or order. ’. ˙ Replacement of Schedule 6 (Penalties) 6. Schedule 6— omit, insert—
