State Service (Restructuring) Order (No. 3) 2014

I, the Lieutenant-Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council and on the recommendation of the Minister, make the following order under section 11 of the State Service Act 2000 .18 June 2014

1Short titleThis order may be cited as the State Service (Restructuring) Order (No. 3) 2014 . 2CommencementThis order takes effect on 1 July 2014. 3Establishment of State authorityTourism Tasmania is established as a State authority. 4Amalgamation of Government departments, &c. (1)  The part of the Department of State Growth known as Sport and Recreation Tasmania is amalgamated with the Department of Premier and Cabinet. (2)  The part of the Department of State Growth known as Tourism Tasmania is amalgamated with the State authority established as Tourism Tasmania. (3)  The part of the Department of Education known as Skills Tasmania is amalgamated with the Department of State Growth.

Displayed and numbered in accordance with the Rules Publication Act 1953.

This order is administered in the Department of Premier and Cabinet.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the order) This order effects a restructuring of the State Service by –

(a) establishing a new State authority; and (b) amalgamating certain parts of Government departments with other Government departments.
