HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the State Pollution Control Commission Act 1970, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

Commencement

1. This Regulation commences on 30 June 1990.

Amendment

2. The State Pollution Control Commission Regulation 1985 is amended by omitting from clause 6 (2) (e) (vi) the matter “0.006” and by inserting instead the matter “0.009”.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The State Pollution Control Commission Regulation 1985 provides for fees for licences under various Acts, including a fee for a licence under the Clean Waters Act 1970 for the discharge into water of pollutants consisting mainly of untreated sewage or primary treated sewage where the total quantity of pollutants discharged exceeds 10,000 kilolitres per day.

1990 - NO. 362

The object of this Regulation is to increase the rate, from 6 fee units to 9 fee units per 10,000 kilolitres of pollutants discharged daily, at which the fee for such a licence is calculated.
