Copyright in the High Court of Australia

GUMMOW J:   In this matter the parties have indicated that they rely upon the written submissions and that no oral submissions will be made to supplement what is provided to us in writing.

Accordingly, we have considered those written submissions and because, in any view, this appeal enjoys insufficient prospect of success to warrant a grant of special leave, this does not provide the occasion to examine the relationship, if any, between the Crimes (Confiscation of Profits) Act 1988 (WA) and the Sentencing Act 1995 (WA). Accordingly, that application is refused.

AT 3.05 PM THE MATTER WAS CONCLUDED
