Explanatory note
The object of this Regulation is to enable the State Insurance Regulatory Authority and its chief executive to delegate functions under the State Insurance and Care Governance Act 2015 to Public Service employees and statutory officers.

This Regulation is made under the State Insurance and Care Governance Act 2015, including sections 26 and 30 (the general regulation-making power).

1      Name of Regulation

This Regulation is the State Insurance and Care Governance Amendment
(Delegation) Regulation 2016.

2      Commencement

This Regulation commences on the day on which it is published on the NSW legislation website.

3 Amendment of State Insurance and Care Governance Regulation 2015

Clause 5

Insert after clause 4:

5      Authorised person

The following are prescribed as an authorised person for the purposes of section 26 of the Act:

(a) a Public Service employee within the meaning of the Government Sector Employment Act 2013,
(b) a statutory officer.
