AN ACT to amend the State Housing Death Benefit

Scheme Act, 1965.

[Assented to 15th October, 1975.]

BE it enacted by the Queen's Most ExcellentMajesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

1. (1) This Act may be cited as the State

and citation.

Act, 1975.

In this Act the State Housing Death Benefit Scheme Act, 1965 is referred to as the principal Act.

of 1965.

(3) The principal Act as amended by this Act may be cited as the State Housing Death Benefit Scheme Act, 1965-1975.

amended.

2. Section 6 of the principal Act is amended

(a)

by deleting the passage "the Common- wealth and State Housing Agreement Act, 1961," in lines ten and eleven and substi- tuting the passage ", on and from the coming into operation of the Housing Agreement (Commonwealth and State) Act, 1973, the Housing Agreement (Com- monwealth and State) Act, 1973,"; and

(b)

by adding after subsection (1) the follow- ing subsection-

( la) A reference in subsection (1) of

this section to

(a)

the agreement approved and ratified by the Commonwealth and State Housing Agreement Act, 1956, includes a reference to any amendment effected to that agreement; and

(b)

the agreement approved and ratified by the Housing Agree- ment (Commonwealth and State) Act, 1973, includes a reference to-

(i)

any amendment effected

to that agreement; and

(ii)   any agreement of similar intent effected between the Commonwealth and the State (including any amendment thereto) the execution of which is approved or ratified by an Act. .
