STATE HOUSING.

No. 11 of 1969.

AN ACT to amend the State Housing Act, 1946-1968.

[Assented to 6th May, 1969.]

RE it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent

Majesty, by and with the advice and consent

of the Legislative Council and the Legislative

Assembly of Western Australia, in this present

Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the

same, as follows:—

1. (1) This Act may be cited as the State Hous- Eittrlatecin.

B. 9 amended. 2. Section nine of the principal Act is amended

(a) by substituting for the words, "to be appointed by the Governor" in line two of subsection (1), the following passage

of whom

(a)	one shall be the person for the time being occupying the office under the Public Service Act, 1904, of General Manager of the Com- mission; and
(b)	six shall be appointed by the Governor

(b)	by substituting for the words, "said seven members" in line one of subsection (2), the passage, "six members referred to in paragraph (b) of subsection (1) of this section" ;
(c)	by substituting for the words, "two shall be officers" in line one of paragraph (a) of subsection (2), the words, "one shall be an officer"; and
(d)	by adding after subsection (2) a subsection as follows

(2a) The Minister may appoint an officer of the Commission, to be the deputy of the member referred to in paragraph (a) of subsection (1) of this section, and any officer so appointed may, during any illness, inability or absence of the member for whom he is the deputy, exercise all the powers and functions, and carry out the duties, of that member. .
