Economic and Employment Area

(Amendment No 6)

under the

Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979

Her Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following State environmental planning policy under the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 in accordance with the recommendation made by the Minister for Infrastructure and Planning. (P04/00081/PC)

Western Sydney Economic and Employment Area

(Amendment No 6)

under the

Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979

1      Name of Policy

This Policy is State Environmental Planning Policy No 59—Central Western Sydney Economic and Employment Area (Amendment No 6).

2      Principal Policy

State Environmental Planning Policy No 59—Central Western Sydney Economic and Employment Area is referred to in this Policy as the Principal Policy.

3      Aim of Policy

(1)

The aim of this Policy is to contribute further to job creation and

economic growth in Western Sydney.

(2)

The strategy adopted to achieve that aim is:

(a)

to include an additional site as a precinct to which the Principal Policy applies, and

(b)

to zone the land in that precinct to the Employment Zone under the Principal Policy, and

(c)

to exclude that land from Blacktown Local Environmental Plan 1988.

4      Land to which Policy applies

This Policy applies to the land shown edged heavy black on Sheet 1 of the map marked “State Environmental Planning Policy No 59— Central Western Sydney Economic and Employment Area (Amendment No 6)” kept at the Parramatta Office of the Department of Infrastructure, Planning and Natural Resources and a copy of which is kept at the office of Blacktown City Council.

Clause 5

5      Amendment of the Principal Policy

The Principal Policy is amended as set out in Schedule 1.

6 Amendment of Blacktown Local Environmental Plan 1988

Blacktown Local Environmental Plan 1988 is amended by inserting “, or to land within the Lot 11 Precinct under State Environmental Planning Policy No 59—Central Western Sydney Economic and Employment Area” at the end of clause 3 (2).

taken to be a reference to the Employment Zone.

Blacktown Local Environmental Plan 1988 does not apply to the land within the City of Blacktown shown as being within the Lot 11 Precinct on Sheet 2 of the map marked “State Environmental Planning Policy No 59—Central Western Sydney Economic and Employment Area (Amendment No 6)” deposited at the Parramatta Office of the Department and a copy of which is deposited at the office of Blacktown City Council.
