THE STATE EDUCATION ACTS [ASSENTED TO 21sT NOVEMBER, 1940.] AMENDMENT ACT OF 1940. B E it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legis- lative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows :- 1. This Act may be cited as " The State Education Short title Acts Amendment Act of 1940," and shall be read as one : ~ ~ struction. with *" The State Education Acts, 1875 to 1912," herein referred to as the Principal Act. The Principal Act and this Act may be collectively ~ ollective cited as " The State Education Acts, 1875 to 1940." tItle. Amendment of the Principal Act. 2. The following section, numbered 16A, is inserted New s. 16A. after section sixteen of the Principal Act, namely :- "[16A.] Any person not being a pupil thereofwilfu!
