An Act to amend the definition of a "country industry" in the State Development and Country Industries Assistance Act, 1966; to amend the definition of "industry" in section 475o of the Local Govern­ ment Act, 1919, as amended by subsequent Acts; and for purposes connected therewith. [Assented to, 23rd March, 1967.]

(1) This Act may be cited as the "State Development and Country Industries Assistance (Amendment) Act, 1967". (2)

BE	it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as
follows: —

(2) The State Development and Country Industries Assistance Act, 1966, as amended by this Act, may be cited as the State Development and Country Industries Assistance Act, 1966-1967.

2. The State Development and Country Industries Assistance Act, 1966, is amended by omitting from section three the definition of "Country industry" and by inserting in lieu thereof the following definition :—

"Country industry" means any activity, craft, occupation or calling carried on or to be carried on in any part of the State outside the County of Cumberland or the area of the City of Newcastle or the City of Greater Wollongong for the purpose of manufac­ turing, processing or distributing by wholesale any goods, or for a purpose approved by the corporation sole.

3. The Local Government Act, 1919, as amended by

subsequent Acts, is amended by omitting section 475o and
by inserting in lieu thereof the following section: —

475o. In this Part, "industry" means any activity, craft, occupation or calling carried on or to be carried on for the purpose of manufacturing, processing or distri­ buting by wholesale any goods, or for a purpose approved by the council.
