CHILDREN ACT [ASSENTED TO 30TH OCTOBER, 1924. ] AMENDMENT ACT OF 1924. BE it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legis- lative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows :-. Short title 1. This Act may be cited as "The State Children Act ~ ~ struction Amendment Act 01 1924," and shall be read as one with ~ f Act. *" The State Children Act of 1911" as amended by t" The State Children Act Amendment Act of 1917," herein referred to as the Principal Act. The Principal Act and t" The State Children Act Amendment Act of 1917" and this Act may together be cited as "The State Children Acts, 1911 to 1924." Amendment 2. The following provision is added to section thirty- oh. 37. seven of the Principal Act : - "Provided further that in every case where a State child has passed the State High School 'entrance examination the State shall continue to maintain or assist in the maintenance of such child for such period as the Minister may determine."
