I, Rear Admiral PETER ROSS SINCLAIR, A.C., Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 9 of the State Bank (Privatisation) Act 1994, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 31 December 1994 for the purposes of that section.

EXPLANATORY NOTE
At present, the State Bank of New South Wales Limited is a state owned corporation
within the meaning of the State Owned Corporations Act 1989. Section 9 of the State Bank (Privatisation) Act 1994 (which commenced on assent) amends the State Owned Corporations Act 1989 to ensure that the State Bank ceases to be a state owned corporation on a day appointed by proclamation for the purposes of that section.
The object of this Proclamation is to appoint 31 December 1994 as the day on which the amendment made by section 9 commences.
