I, Rear Admiral PETER ROSS SINCLAIR, A.C., Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in

pursuance of section 12 (1) of the State Bank (Corporatisation) Act 1989, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 31 December 1994 for the purposes

of section 12 of that Act.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

Under section 12 of the State Bank (Corporatisation) Act 1989, the payment of all money due by the State Bank of New South Wales Limited is guaranteed by the Government of New South Wales until a day appointed by proclamation. This Proclamation appoints 31 December as the day on which that guarantee ceases except in certain cases specified in that section. In relation to those excepted cases, the guarantee will cease, for most purposes, on the third anniversary of the appointed day.
